Bono is a handsome, magical boy--mostly creamy white with a brown Tabby helmet and patch over one eye and a huge, fluffy charcoal Tabby striped tail. His eyes are green, and his nose is pink!
He and his best friend and sister Lola (also posted) were bottle babies, rescued by an elderly woman who has loved and cared for them their entire seven years of life. In addition to their "mom," they also lived with her adult daughter and her young son (now seven y.o.), our other cats, a pit bull terrier and another terrier. It was an amazingly peaceable kingdom. Then, the woman lost her home, moved in with a friend and had no place for her many animals. She sought help from a Good Samaritan "Betsy" who agreed to care for Bono and Lola for a very short time, had to keep them in cages b/c of space limitations.
Betsy writes: "Bono and Lola are absolute beauties. Their "mom" lost her home and had to give up these sweet cats. They are fine with children and nice cats and dogs, super mellow and very loving. They are siblings and have been together since birth, so it would be wonderful if they could stay together."
Bono and Lola just moved from Betsy's to Mary's studio while we search for a longer term foster home or, ideally, an adopter who will keep the two together.
Mary says: "These are the most laid back, affectionate cats I've met. They are a delight, easy, extremely sweet. They're both big cats....guessing ~12 pounds. Both part Turkish Van, best guess. Great cats!"
