Gina and her sister Julie (also posted) were adopted from a local shelter in January xxxx, two sweet little kittens. Since then, their "mom" Susanne has given them the best love and care. Susanne, a widow, recently remarried. Her new husband has severe COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). Sadly, Susanne had to surrender these two "loves of my life." Gina is a very pretty Calico with classic Calico coloration of deep charcoal, rust/orange and white. Her eyes are gold, and her nose is pink! Gina is relies on her sister Julie to take the lead in most adventures, happy to follow behind. Susanne calls Gina her "glamour girl, think child actress....and a little more clingy than Julie. Both sisters are very affectionate and sweet, loving to each other and very human centered.
Susanne writes: "Julie and Gina have been such a joy for me, giving me 12 years of companionship and fun. Life without them will be very different, and I will miss them terribly. They're very well behaved, no litter box issues and have always been very healthy. I believe they have many years left....and love to give a new human companion."
Foster dad Dave writes: "Gina is very loving. She's not shy but will be at first when she gets to her forever home. She does not play and prefers to be by my side. She is not into exploring as much as Julie but she will venture out at times. Gina is a very good lap cat and likes to lick your fingers and then rub her face (auto preening). She does not care for other cats (not aggressive with them, just not interested). She is not a climber but prefers to jump up on a sofa or bed(s).
"I can easily clip her nails or touch her feet> She does the same as Julie. If we are in a room, she will also look for Julie. Gina is good with other people, as I have friends over and she will come right up to them. "They both have beautiful eyes and healthy coats. They are good at eye contact. There are NO bad habits that I see and by all appearances are healthy. (Julie is still a little over weight, and I've worked hard to help her shed weight, very slowly, and there should be a plan for her in her new home. "I do not know how they would be w/dogs. Their home should be peaceful as with their previous home (Susanne) and my home. I'm not sure about very young children, but it depends on the children (quiet, respectful, gentle). Indoor only. NO collars. They should be the ONLY felines in the home and fed proper diets. While they have no apparent health issues, there will likely be vet bills at some point later in life, as is true with older cats."
